QA/QI Meetings
The West Queens Volunteer Ambulance Association sponsored QA/QI group, of which the squad is a member, will be having meetings at Forest Hills VAC starting at 8:00 PM on Tuesday 1/4/05 and Tuesday 3/1/05. The squad is required to have a quality assessment/improvement program that involves a doctor and some non-member participants and taking part in the West Queens group satisfies this requirement.
EMT’s are reminded to completely fill out all the information required on the PCR’s. Please pay special attention to completing the times and treatment given and to please write LEGIBLY. At the last QA/QI meeting on 11/2 Dr. Horowitz was very critical of our handwriting and the extended on-scene times. Crews are also reminded not to delay transport of the patient just so you can write the PCR at the scene. Try to get the information you need at the scene and then write the rest of the PCR at the hospital.
