General Membership meetings are for all adult, associate and youth squad members. Prospective members in the squad are also welcome and encouraged to attend. These meetings are important for transacting squad business, communicating and clarifying information and meeting new members. We try and keep the meetings short and focused and not go over items covered in other communication vehicles. We ask that you carry out your responsibility as an interested member of the organization and make every effort to attend these meetings.

Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
We have the final dates for the EVOC class:
  • Tuesday April 5 - 7:00 to 9:30 PM - 2.5 hour class
  • Thursday April 7 - 7:00 to 9:30 PM - 2.5 hour class

You must attend all 3 classes to get credit for the class. Benefit for the squad is lower insurance premiums. There is NO CHARGE for this class but there are only 20 slots available. Please let Captain Mazlish know your availability. Tuesday & Thursday evening classes will be held at JEVAC HQ. We will try to find a local parking lot we can use for the outdoor training on April 10.

  • PARKWAY HOSPITAL in Forest Hills, Queens has notified FDNY that it will be ending its contract with TransCare and will cease operating ambulances in the 911 system effective April 30.
